Addict

Addict is a psychological drama that follows a gifted college student as she confronts addiction, unearths buried trauma, and struggles to find her way toward recovery. Set against a stark, emotionally charged backdrop, the film weaves unflinching realism with haunting symbolic imagery to illuminate the inner chaos of a young woman teetering between self-destruction and survival.
Shot in Ann Arbor and released on November 26, 2024, the film was co-directed by Tiara Partsch, with cinematography by Stephen Smith and original music by Patrick Rutkowski and Ty Bock. Inspired by the loss of a friend, Addict was featured in The Michigan Daily for its bold storytelling and creative resilience during the global pandemic.
Chameleon

Chameleon is a new musical in development that tells the story of Chase Williams, a teenager navigating depression, anxiety, and the pressures of adolescence. When Chase crosses paths with Sam Pretorius, a burned-out teen movie star, their unlikely friendship sparks a journey of self-discovery, honesty, and resilience. With a book by Daisy Villegas and music by Joey Contreras, Chameleon explores mental health and identity while celebrating humor, vulnerability, and the power of connection.
The world premiere reading was presented at the Marilyn Monroe Theater in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, on September 29, 2025. Klein produced and directed the event—overseeing casting, coordinating rehearsals, and securing the venue—while shaping both the creative vision and logistical execution.
Spring Storm

Spring Storm is Tennessee Williams’s early exploration of female autonomy, desire, and societal oppression in the Deep South. Set in 1937 Mississippi, the play follows Heavenly Critchfield, a young woman torn between passion and social expectation, highlighting themes of gender roles, class, and the tragic consequences of constrained freedom.
The staged reading was presented at The Flea Theater in New York City on November 18, 2024, directed by NYU Tisch graduate Sophie Rose Hinerfeld, and sold out. Klein produced the reading—overseeing material selection, casting, and performing as Arthur Shannon.
All My Sons

Arthur Miller’s All My Sons is a classic American drama centered on Joe Keller, a businessman whose moral compromises during World War II have devastating consequences for his family and community. The play explores themes of responsibility, guilt, and the dark undercurrents of the American Dream.
The staged reading was presented at the Zephyr Theatre in Los Angeles on July 31, 2024, directed by Amelia Baumann, a Los Angeles-based director and University of Michigan alumna. Klein produced the reading—overseeing material selection, venue coordination, and casting—and performed as Chris Keller.
The Last of the Souhegans

The Last of the Souhegans is a whimsical and heartfelt musical set in Milford, New Hampshire, inspired by a local legend about a mysterious dinosaur-like creature said to inhabit the Souhegan River. The story spans four time periods—1910, 1932, 1955, and 1987—told through the eyes of 11-year-old Kate and her older self. It blends folklore, family drama, historical fiction, and coming-of-age elements with bluegrass-infused musical theater and a nostalgic sense of place.
Klein co-cast the recording with Stephanie Klapper Casting and also served as a production assistant, helping run the session and performing in the ensemble. With music by Andrew Howard and book and lyrics by Austin Tichenor, the musical celebrates the enduring power of memory, legacy, and storytelling.
The Seagull

Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull, in Tom Stoppard’s acclaimed translation, is a landmark play that explores the tensions between old and new artistic ideals, the complexities of love and ambition, and the elusive nature of happiness. It portrays the struggles of artists and lovers caught in cycles of desire and disappointment.
The staged reading was presented at The Hudson Theatres in Los Angeles on March 19, 2024, directed by Fordham University alumnus David Kelii Kahawaii IV. The sold-out event featured a talented LA-based ensemble cast. Klein produced the reading from start to finish—overseeing material selection, casting, and securing the venue—while also performing as Boris Alexeyevich Trigorin.
